Here are a collection of frequently asked questions about Hazard Manager

Do I have to register for Hazard Manager?

Yes, you will need to register before you can access Hazard Manager. This new username and password will enable you to access all your services in a single place. Please see if you are eligible to use the service, and, if so, register for Hazard Manager by using the 'More details..' link below. Hazard Manager will only display services that you are eligible to receive e.g. FFC products are only available for England and Wales and CHEMET and FireMet are only available to subscribed users.

Why have you switched off Hazard Manager 1?

Hazard Manager 1 has now been replaced by this newer version which has been developed with extensive customer research used to inform the services design and therefore, most users will find that the new service offers a significant improvement.

What are the key benefits of Hazard Manager 2?

Hazard Manager 2 offers a one-stop source of weather information and is a significant improvement on the previous version; offering simpler navigation, new maps, additional weather information, improved warning display and it can also be used on tablet devices.

How do I access Hazard Manager 2?

Access the Met Office 'My Services' dashboard and select Hazard Manger 2. Use your existing username and password.

What is the Dashboard function?

The dashboard provides a concise "at a glance summary" of the status of the flood guidance statement and weather warnings that are in place. You can set your area of interest so that only relevant warnings to you are displayed on the dashboard summary.

Help, I've forgotten my password?

Contact the Customer Centre on 0370 900 0100 who can send username reminders and reset your password. Alternatively, you can email the Customer Centre.

I'm not sure how to use Hazard Manager 2?

We have created a help centre and accompanying user guides to help you get the most out of the new Hazard Manager 2 service.

Hazard Manager won't load correctly and/or is missing some information.

You are probably experiencing a technical issue and you should contact the Customer Centre for further information on 0370 900 0100. Alternatively, you can email the Customer Centre.

Why isn't Hazard Manager 2 working for me?

Hazard Manager 2 has been developed to work on a wide range of tablets and operating systems. The minimum and recommended technical specifications required to access Hazard Manager 2 are available here.

Hazard Manager looks different on my desktop and on my tablet. Why?

Hazard Manager 2 has been developed using technology which adapts to some extent to different user devices. This ensures that we can provide a good user experience across a wide range of devices, whilst not affecting the functionality of the service.

Why doesn't Hazard Manager work on my tablet?

Hazard Manager 2 has not been designed to operate on some minority tablets. The technical specifications required for Hazard Manager 2 are available here.

As the range and function of tablet devices continues to evolve, we will update the technical specification to ensure that we provide a good user experience to as many people as possible

Why doesn't Hazard Manager work on my Smartphone?

Hazard Manager 2 is slow to load when I'm out and about. Why?
