Co-ordinates satellite research and development work of members throughout Europe. Funded by EUMETSAT.

Unified Model Collaboration

Joint programme working with this suite of numerical modelling software.

Joint workshop on numerical methods for global models

  • GRAS SAF logoGRAS SAF — the GRAS Meteorology SAF is a EUMETSAT-funded project to develop and run an operational radio occultation system responsible for delivering refractivity, temperature, pressure, and humidity profiles in near-real time. The project also develops portable software products for numerical weather prediction models and carries out related research. The GRAS SAF is led by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), with partners Met Office, ECMWF and IEEC (Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya).   • The Short-Range Numerical Weather Prediction Network (SRNWP) — is a group of European National Weather Services aiming to promote closer cooperation in the development of techniques for short range, high-resolution numerical weather prediction.
