  • Post-processing of ocean model data.

  • Dissemination of ocean monitoring and forecast data.

Current activities

Niall is responsible for:

  • the post processing of Met Office ocean model data;
  • dealing with requests for data available through MyOcean and organising access to the Met Office's MyOcean products;
  • administration of the MyOcean server;
  • development of the MyOcean Web Portal.

Career background

Niall joined the Met Office in 2009 to work on the MyOcean project after graduating with a MSc in Applied Physical Oceanography from Bangor University.

Prior to this Niall worked as a Software Developer.

As an undergraduate Niall studied Geophysics with Physics at the University of Liverpool.
