Dr Alison Redington

Alison models the atmospheric dispersion of material using the Met Office's Lagrangian dispersion model, NAME (Numerical Atmospheric-dispersion Modelling Environment).

Areas of expertise

Alison's areas of expertise include:

  • Atmospheric chemistry
  • DEFRA policy support on particulates

My Publications - Redington, A

Current activities

Use of NAME to understand the behaviour of secondary inorganic and organic particulates as the emissions of their primary precursors decline.

Use of highly resolved ammonia measurement data to develop NAME.

Contribution of NAME results to a model intercomparison exercise currently being undertaken by DEFRA.
