Current Activities

Ian's work is focused on the development of Emergency Response Systems. Ian is currently working to further develop the NAME dispersion model to enhance the capability of the Met Office to provide scientific support during emergency situations.

Career Background

Ian has worked in the Atmospheric Dispersion Group since 2013. He joined the Met Office in 1992 developing the Unified Model. In 1998 Ian joined the Hadley Centre's IT group developing applications for climate data and metadata.
