Health Protection Research Unit case study

Met Office scientists are part of the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Environmental Change and Health

This collaborative five year project (started April 2014) involves London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Public Health England (PHE), the University of Exeter, and University of Exeter.

Its aim is to support PHE in delivering objectives for the protection of the public's health by creating world class research, translating developments into benefits for the public and health professionals, and building resilience against existing and future threats to health.
