Weather forecaster training

Professional weather forecasting training to national and international (WMO-No.258) standards. The training for forecasters is divided into three programmes — Foundation, Professional development and Specialist.

Meteorological refresher courses

These courses are for staff (typically WMO technicians) whose duties, within a meteorological organisation, require a basic general understanding of synoptic weather and the use made of numerical weather prediction output.

Languages

All courses will be taught in English. In order to ensure that students make the most of our courses, they must be able to understand, read and write in English at a high level. For students entering a foundation training programme, it may be possible to arrange training in English prior to the course.
