The meteorological refresher course updates and extends the meteorological knowledge of experienced staff who are not currently engaged in operational forecasting.
UK Applied Climatology
This course gives a basic background in UK applied climatology for staff responding to customer enquiries.
Observing systems and data appreciation
This course provides a basic knowledge of the main observing systems in operational use and an understanding of the data they produce.
Severe Weather Events - Effective Planning
This is a series of modules which together form a programme aimed at developing different aspects of a state's disaster risk reduction strategy. These modules aim to develop/build on national effectiveness, resilience, response and communication before, during and after a severe weather event.
