Weather presenting is a unique art, incorporating an understanding of meteorology with the ability to turn facts into a weather story that captivates an audience. This course is specially designed for anyone who is new to weather presenting, but wants to learn how to do it.
You will learn how to present the weather, about common mistakes and good techniques including:
You will benefit from the exceptional technical quality that only a professional broadcast facility can provide.
At the end of the course you will be provided with a show reel on DVD. The total amount of recorded work will vary slightly from person to person, but expect to take away around one to two minutes' worth of material.
On average we stage one course every three weeks with a maximum of four clients per course. Therefore applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

This two-day course is held at Met Office Media, Millbank Studios in London's Westminster area - directly opposite the Houses of Parliament.

The course fee is £850 plus VAT for the two days. This includes your compilation show reel footage, course materials, coaching and production staff, use of the Met Office Studios, lunch and unlimited refreshments.
Full payment for the course needs to be made no later than 14 days before your course date.
