Met Office view | Key to weather chart symbols

High pressure is centred in the North Sea and extends
across the UK. The fronts marked to the west of the UK
denote the warm Atlantic air that is being kept at bay by
the cold high pressure. Low pressure in the Mediterranean
continues to bring unsettled conditions to this area.
