Webcam withdrawal

The Met Office webcam network uses obsolete specialist technology that is no longer commercially available and cannot be viably maintained. Having reviewed the situation, the decision has been made that the webcam service will be withdrawn with effect from 19 May. We realise this will be a disappointment to some of our customers, but hope that you will understand our reasons for doing so.
