The Met Office advises against use of these maps alone for
decision making. UK users are encouraged to consult the official UK
forecast for Spring 2009, which
are generated through expert interpretation of the forecast
maps and other inputs, or to contact
our Customer Centre. For other countries, users are advised
to consult the relevant national meteorological service, who
will have access to this and other local predictive information.

- near-normal temperatures (average) more likely.
- Dark blue:
- below-normal temperatures (cold) more likely.
- Yellow:
- zones of transition between the orange and green types
(warm or average more likely).
- Light blue:
- zones of transition between the dark blue and green
types (cold or average more likely).
- White:
- no favoured category.
