There will be plenty of sunshine today with the odd shower possible at times, mainly during the morning. It will be breezy for many, but winds will ease into the afternoon, so it will feel warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

A dry and chilly night in the east with clear spells. However, skies will begin to cloud over in the west, with outbreaks of drizzle late in the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday:

Skies turning cloudy with hill fog in the west. Outbreaks of rain or drizzle, sometimes heavy. spreading east and feeling cool at first, before turning warmer and more humid later. Maximum temperature 21 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Largely dry and cloudy on Monday, but feeling warm and humid, some bright spells developing. Sunny spells on Tuesday and very warm. Probably dry but fresher Wednesday with some sunshine.

A windy day for many, particularly in the northwest. Scattered blustery showers across much of the UK. The most frequent showers in the north, perhaps turning heavy at times. However, becoming drier in the south through the afternoon.

Tonight:

Largely dry overnight with clear spells and turning chilly, particularly in rural spots. Some showers continuing in northern Scotland through the night.

Sunday:

Low cloud and drizzle spreading across the southwest with some locally heavy bursts possible. Dry elsewhere with some sunshine, but turning increasingly cloudy later. Feeling warm in the sunshine.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Outbreaks of rain in the north, some heavy with thundery downpours possible. Becoming largely dry, very warm and humid in the south, with increasing amounts of sunshine.

UK Outlook for Thursday 24 Aug 2017 to Saturday 2 Sep 2017:

Thursday and Friday will stay rather changeable, with showers or longer spells of rain, particularly in the northwest, with much of the south staying largely dry with some sunny spells. Temperatures will be around normal, but perhaps still warm in the southeast, with a chance of some thundery showers. Into the weekend, probably staying unsettled, with further spells of rain or showers, particularly in the north and west, but perhaps more settled in the south and east. Windy at times, especially in the north, with risk of gales. Into the following week and early September, there remains a lot of uncertainty, although we may continue to see spells of wet and windy weather, particularly in the northwest, with some drier spells in the south. Temperatures will probably be near normal.

UK Outlook for Sunday 3 Sep 2017 to Sunday 17 Sep 2017:

As we head into September, we are most likely to see changeable weather conditions dominating across the United Kingdom. However, there is a chance of some more prolonged dry and fine weather at times too. As a result, on balance there are likely to be spells of rain and strong winds at times, especially across the north and west, probably interspersed with several days of brighter and showery weather. Temperatures may become warm or very warm at times, especially in the south. However, they will probably remain generally close to normal for the time of year elsewhere.
