Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Friday 24 Aug 2018 to Sunday 2 Sep 2018:

On Friday and Saturday many places will have sunshine and showers. These showers heavy at times and with a risk of hail and thunder, particularly in the north, with the best of the sunnier spells in the southeast. It will be windy at times, and some more persistent rain may reach northwestern parts on Saturday. Through the rest of the weekend and into the following week the northwest will have showers or longer spells of rain at times, with drier and brighter conditions generally in the southeast, although even here some bands of rain may move through. This weather pattern is quite likely to continue through the rest of the period. Temperatures starting rather cool, but recovering to around normal, and perhaps warm at times in the southeast.

UK Outlook for Monday 3 Sep 2018 to Monday 17 Sep 2018:

During this period it looks likely that the weather pattern will only change slowly. Areas of high pressure and associated settled weather will probably increasingly dominate, with some longer dry spells, particularly for northwestern areas compared to much of August. However there are also likely to be some more changeable weather at times in the north and northwest with outbreaks of rain and local gales, with these conditions perhaps extending southeastwards at times. Temperatures by day are likely to be generally warmer than average, especially for the southeastern half of the UK but generally nearer normal further northwest, and there will be an increasing chance of chillier nights anywhere, as would be expected during September.
