UK forecast for the next 5 days

Dry and sunny almost everywhere, and getting hotter.

Unbroken sunshine will raise temperatures even higher than at the weekend for most parts of the UK. It will be cloudier and cooler in the far north of Scotland, and also less warm near coasts where sea breezes develop.

After a sunny evening, most places will have another dry night, though less cool than last night. Cloud will be confined to the highlands and islands in the far north.

After some early cloud has dispersed from Norfolk and Lincolnshire, widespread sunshine will make tomorrow even hotter than today in most parts. Scottish Islands will have more sunshine than today.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Hot, sunny weather continuing for many. Eastern parts becoming slightly less warm, and sometimes cloudier, as the wind turns easterly. The west getting even hotter. Becoming cloudier/cooler/breezier in the north.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 30 Jun 2018 to Monday 9 Jul 2018:

Saturday and Sunday will stay dry and sunny across much of the UK, although it may be cloudier with a chance of rain or showers at times in the far north of Scotland. It is also likely to feel cooler than of late across parts of the northeast but elsewhere it will remain very warm or hot with muggy nights. During the first week of July there is an increasing chance of cloud and outbreaks of rain in northwestern parts of the UK and the heat may spark a few showers or thunderstorms elesewhere which will push in from the south. During this first week of July it is expected to be cooler in the far northwest and elsewhere temperatures are also likely to gradually decline but remain above average.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 10 Jul 2018 to Tuesday 24 Jul 2018:

The most likely scenario is that we will see a good deal of dry and settled weather across many parts of the UK with very warm temperatures likely at times. However, there are some indications that in the north and west, more changeable conditions could bring cloudier skies, and possibly some wet and windy weather at times. There may also be some interludes of more unsettled, cooler conditions bringing some outbreaks of rain or showers across the rest of the UK, however these will be short lived with dry, fine weather likely for most of the time and further very warm or hot spells possible.
