Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Monday 23 Oct 2017 to Wednesday 1 Nov 2017:

After a dry start in the southeast, most of the UK is expected to have outbreaks of rain on Monday and Tuesday, which could be heavy and persistent on western hills. Brighter showery weather may spread into northwestern parts at times. Temperatures are expected to be above normal for the time of year, and perhaps warm in some eastern parts. Later in the week, the southeast will have a greater chance of drier weather but it will probably stay rather wet and windy in the northwest. There could well be a calmer period of weather towards the end of the month with rain and strong winds less frequent than recently. This would bring more sunshine but an increased risk of chilly nights, and overnight fog for some.

UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Nov 2017 to Thursday 16 Nov 2017:

As we head into November, a changeable pattern is most likely at first, bringing spells of wet and windy weather, interspersed with drier and brighter interludes. The most unsettled weather is likely across the north and west, with the south and east often staying drier and brighter. These drier conditions may become more prolonged as we head through November, bringing an increased chance of sunshine, but also a risk of frost and fog overnight. However, northern parts may remain more unsettled with a greater chance of wet and windy weather. Temperatures are likely to stay close to normal for the time of year, although it may be colder than normal where settled spells are prolonged.
