    Friday:

    Any early and light coastal showers soon clear to leave a dry and bright day. Strong northwesterly winds ease through the morning, becoming light by mid-afternoon. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    A few showers at first on Friday but winds easing and becoming dry and bright with lighter winds for Saturday and Sunday, cloud thickening at times but plenty sunshine likely.

    Unsettled and windy today, sunnier for many on Friday.

    Today:

    Rain moving slowly southeastwards across England and Wales, though remaining bright and fairly warm in parts of the south and East Anglia; breezy. Sunny spells further north but cooler and windy, with possible coastal gales; heavy showers across northern Scotland.

    Tonight:

    Patchy rain and low cloud will cross southern areas of Wales and England, clearing later. Scattered showers continuing across northern Scotland, perhaps heavy. Many other areas clearer and chilly.

    Friday:

    Many southern and central areas having plenty of sunshine and lighter winds, meaning that it should feel reasonably warm by afternoon. Northern Scotland sees sunny intervals and scattered sharp showers.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Cooler and showery, mostly in the east at first, more widespread from Sunday. Warmer, sunnier in the west after cold mornings. Feeling rather cold in the east coastal fresh breeze.

    UK Outlook for Monday 30 May 2022 to Wednesday 8 Jun 2022:

    Eastern areas are likely to be cloudier with a higher risk of showers and breezier at the start of this period, with drier weather and the best of the sunshine probably in the west. The east is also expected to see cooler than average temperatures over this period. Into the rest of next week, it will likely be mainly fine and dry, but occasional rain and showers, mainly in the east. Feeling warm in any sunshine. Towards the bank holiday weekend this pattern is likely to continue, with some dry weather and sunny spells, but also some more unsettled and wet conditions developing for some parts of the UK. Any stronger winds likely easing and temperatures likely remaining around average for most.
