    Another mild and muggy feeling night with heavy bursts of rain at times. The rain could turn thundery in places, with a risk of localised flooding. Probably staying largely dry in the northwest. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.


    A rather cloudy and muggy start again with showers from the start, potentially thundery at times. Showers easing away to the south, with drier, fresher conditions following. Maximum Temperature 22 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Mostly dry with sunny spells on Thursday. A band of rain moves east early Friday and another later of Saturday, with sunshine between. Temperatures near average.

    Heavy, thundery showers easing for most although some continuing for central and southeast England where it will also continue to feel warm. In the north, dry with clear spells and feeling cooler.


    Mainly dry with sunny spells. Thunderstorms continuing to affect central and southern England and southeast Wales, particularly the southeast, before easing later. Cloud and patchy rain into the northwest overnight.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Showers soon clearing on Thursday then fine before rain moves southeast later and through Friday. Sunshine and showers behind, some of these turning heavier on Saturday particularly in the north.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 21 Aug 2022 to Tuesday 30 Aug 2022:

    Showers remaining in the north on Sunday, but more general rain starting to move in from the west. Heavy bursts likely at times. Eastern areas may remain dry until late Sunday evening, western upslopes seeing the most of any persistent heavy rain. Winds generally light but becoming stronger with the arrival of rain, with a chance of coastal gales. Through this period, frontal systems likely to bring widespread rainfall. Rain across central and southern regions initially, could become more widespread to affect all parts for a time before becoming more settled. Fine and dry conditions prevail for many areas. With winds light and plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures can be expected for this period, generally rising, feeling humid at times.
