    A few showers are possible this evening, but most areas becoming dry overnight with clearing skies. Turning chilly as winds become much lighter, perhaps giving a touch of frost locally. Minimum Temperature 3 °C.


    After a chilly but largely sunny start, most places will have a dry day. Cloud bubbling up, but staying fine with sunny spells. Feeling a little warmer than on Wednesday. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Showers are possible later on Friday, otherwise largely dry on Saturday with sunny spells. Probably turning wetter on Sunday. Breezy at times. Mild by day but locally chilly overnight.

    Band of rain, occasionally heavy, clearing eastwards followed by scattered blustery showers. These locally heavy in north and west with a risk of thunder. Windy with coastal gales.


    Bands of showers continuing for Scotland, Northern Ireland and far north of England but becoming dry elsewhere with some clear periods. Remaining windy in north. Cooler than previous nights.


    Mainly dry in south and east with bright or sunny spells. Cloudier in west with cloud tending to thicken through the day bringing outbreaks of rain from mid-Wales northwards. Windy.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Sunshine and blustery showers, these most frequent in the northwest on Friday. Becoming mainly dry on Saturday. Rain and strengthening winds likely spreading from the west on Sunday.

    This period is likely to be characterised by unsettled weather with showers and longer periods of rain expected across most areas at first. The heaviest and most frequent rain is expected in the west and northwest, while southeastern areas are likely to remain drier on average. Changeable conditions are likely to remain later into the period with a split between east and west areas. Rain and showers expected to remain most frequent in the west with drier weather expected to the east. Breezy conditions are expected throughout the period, with a risk of severe gales across exposed areas in the northwest at times. Temperatures will generally be close to normal with some cooler nights, bringing the chance of mist and fog in places.
