    Dry and settled with temperatures rising rapidly during the morning with strong August sunshine all day. It will feel a little hotter than Friday. Maximum Temperature 35 °C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    A little cloudier on Sunday, but still hot. Cloudier still on Monday with a chance of showers, still feeling very warm. Rather cloudy Tuesday with showers, some heavy and thundery.

    Another sunny and very hot day for many areas, although cooler on some northeast coasts with patchy mist and cloud developing. Further cloud and some rain in the far north and northwest.

    Tonight:

    Some low cloud in the north and northeast with a few fog patches developing in east England and Northern Ireland. Otherwise dry and clear for staying warm for many overnight.

    Saturday:

    Fine and sunny for most with any low cloud and fog clearing quickly during the morning. Hot or very hot with highest temperatures in central and southern England.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Dry, sunny and hot in the south Sunday but heavy showers or thunderstorms for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Becoming widely unsettled from Monday with showers and thunderstorms. Cooler.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 16 Aug 2022 to Thursday 25 Aug 2022:

    This period will see the breakdown of the sunny and dry weather of recent days, with conditions becoming more unsettled across the UK. Showers are likely in places, sometimes heavy and thundery, though drier periods with sunny spells are still expected between them. Stronger winds are possible in the north and northwest, with the potential for some more persistent rain at times. At the same time, temperatures becoming closer to normal for August, but still feeling warm for many, especially in the southeast. Towards the end of the period, it's expected to remain changeable for most with further showers or longer spells of rain. Still feeling warm or very warm for much of England and Wales.

    Following a period of unsettled weather, we may see generally more settled conditions towards the end of August. As we head into September, spells of rain or showers are likely, with the most widespread of these in the north and west. However, periods of dry and sunny weather can still be expected in between. Temperatures are likely to be above average, with the occasional chance of very warm spells.
