    Widely dry and bright to start. A band of showery rain will push east across the region with scattered showers developing ahead of this. Some showers turning heavy and perhaps thundery, before largely dying out during the afternoon. Temperatures average. Maximum Temperature 20 °C.

    Tonight:

    Any residual showers soon fading to leave a dry evening. Cloud will break up to give a mostly clear night. Winds gradually easing. Feeling cooler overnight than of late. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.

    Tuesday:

    Fine and dry on Tuesday with sunny intervals. Cloud thickening from the west during the afternoon, turning sunshine increasingly hazy. Some patchy light rain possible in western parts late on. Maximum Temperature 22 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Cloudier Wednesday as a slow-moving band of showery rain pushes east. More unsettled Thursday with showers, perhaps turning heavy and thundery early on. Drier and brighter Friday. Feeling warm.

    Heavy showers moving eastwards.

    Today:

    A band of showery rain will move eastwards, heavy in places, especially in the east this afternoon with a risk of isolated thunder. Western areas turning dry with sunny spells by the afternoon.

    Tonight:

    Mostly dry with long clear spells in the south and east, allowing it to turn rather chilly. Becoming wet and windy in the northwest.

    Tuesday:

    A band of rain in the west, heavy in places with coastal gales, will edge slowly eastwards. Staying dry in the southeast with warm sunny spells.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Showers for many Wednesday and especially Thursday when they will be heavy with a risk of hail and thunder. Rain into the northwest Friday, drier elsewhere. Rather cool at times.

    UK Outlook for Friday 1 Jul 2022 to Sunday 10 Jul 2022:

    There will be sunny spells for many with a few scattered showers at the beginning of July, some of which will be locally heavy and possibly thundery across Scotland. Winds are expected to be light generally but moderate at times, especially in the northwest and near heavy showers. The unsettled conditions are likely to be confined to the north of the country as we move further through the period, perhaps bringing some longer spells of rain to this region. Many eastern and southern areas likely to stay drier, although with the risk of showers remaining. Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly below normal in the north but above normal in the south.

    UK Outlook for Monday 11 Jul 2022 to Monday 25 Jul 2022:

    There is a good chance of more settled conditions prevailing through the middle and later parts of July, although some northern areas may see spells of rain or showers at times, especially early in the period. These spells could extend across the country at times, but in general the south will see the best of the settled conditions. Temperatures are likely to be close to or a little above average initially but trending towards widely warm conditions later, especially across the south.
