    Very warm and humid, with plenty of sunshine.


    Any early mist will soon clear during the morning. Another dry, very warm and humid day then follows. There will be plenty of sunshine, although some cloud could spread into western parts, mainly later in the day. Maximum Temperature 28 °C.


    Cloud and outbreaks of rain will gradually spread southeast overnight. Parts of Kent and Sussex could stay dry until dawn, although some patchy coastal mist or fog is possible. Minimum Temperature 15 °C.


    Rather cloudy for most at first, with further outbreaks of mostly light rain. These gradually ease away east through the day, with sunny spells following. Feeling fresher than recent days. Maximum Temperature 24 °C.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Breezy Friday, with scattered showers, heavy at times. Winds easing Saturday, with sunny spells and showers. Dry, bright and warm Sunday, before rain and stronger winds spread east later.

    UK forecast for the next 5 days

    Rain moving southeastwards, giving a fresher end to the week.


    A three way split today, with rain slowly spreading southeastwards through southern Scotland, northern England, Wales and the north Midlands. To the south, sunny spells, warm and humid. To the north, fresher with sunshine and scattered showers, mainly northwest Scotland.


    Rain will continue to steadily push across England and Wales overnight. Behind it, a much cooler night with clear spells, however heavy showers moving into Scotland and Northern Ireland.


    Rain will become confined to central and southeast England before clearing through the afternoon. Elsewhere, brighter and fresher with sunny spells, but heavy, blustery showers in the north and west.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Friday and Saturday; cool with blustery showers for many except the south, but rain possible here on Friday night. Sunday starting fine and cold, before gradually turning wet and windy.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 26 Aug 2018 to Tuesday 4 Sep 2018:

    After a cold and dry start on Sunday, cloud and rain is likely to spread east into western areas later in the day. For Bank Holiday Monday, the rain is likely to gradually continue south and east, with drier and brighter conditions following. Temperatures should be around the seasonal average. The middle part of the week is likely to see a north-south split in the weather. Northern areas will generally be more changeable with some rain or showers at times, but it is likely to become more settled in the south with warmer temperatures. Drier and warmer weather may become more widely established into early September, as high pressure starts to build in from the south.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 5 Sep 2018 to Wednesday 19 Sep 2018:

    Through the beginning and middle part of September, there is an increasing chance that much of the UK will see a good deal of dry, warm and settled weather. Northern and western areas could occasionally have wet and windy spells towards the middle part of the month, but these should be short-lived. Temperatures are likely to be generally warm across the UK, with a chance of very warm conditions developing in the south.
