    Showery rain, locally heavy and thundery, will affect some areas during the morning, with perhaps dry. warm and bright conditions further east for a time late morning. Heavy showers and thunderstorms will threaten most areas during the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 24 °C.

    Tonight:

    Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms, but some parts getting away with a dry night, especially the far southeast. Becoming dry for most by dawn. Fog perhaps developing in the southeast. Minimum Temperature 11 °C.

    Friday:

    Dry and rather cloudy to start with some fog around. Becoming brighter and warmer through the afternoon, but with isolated thundery showers possibly redeveloping as it warms up. Light winds. Maximum Temperature 24 °C.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    Becoming very warm and humid with plenty of sunshine through the Bank Holiday weekend, however with a continuing risk of thunderstorms, especially in the west.

    Rain in south, brighter further north; but still cloudy northeast.

    Today:

    Another warm day for most, but cloudier in the south with some heavy showers, which will turn thundery. Sunny spells elsewhere, but still northeast coasts of England will be cooler with cloudy skies lingering through much of the day.

    Tonight:

    Evening rain for South Wales and central/southern England, heavy and thundery at times, but easing later. More rain arriving through the early hours, crossing the central swathe of the UK.

    Friday:

    Bright and warm for Scotland and Northern Ireland after early cloud clears. Northern/central England and Wales cloudy with outbreaks of rain, easing later. Southern England turning brighter, risk showers later.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

    A very warm Bank Holiday Weekend. Plenty of prolonged sunshine, mainly in the north and northwest. Further south, quite humid and cloudy at times with a risk of thundery showers.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 29 May 2018 to Thursday 7 Jun 2018:

    Through the early part of next week, there will be a good deal of dry, fine and sunny weather across the UK. Mist and low cloud may continue to affect eastern coastal districts. There is also a risk of scattered thunderstorms across the south and southwest, especially through Wednesday. It will stay very warm for most, locally hot in the south, although temperatures may fall closer to average by Wednesday. For the rest of the period, there will be more fine and dry weather to come, with the best of the sunshine in the north. There is a continued threat of thundery showers across central and southern areas, and the far west could see rain at times. After a very warm start, temperatures are likely to fall closer to average.

    Confidence remains low through June, however there are signs that it may become more widely changeable across the UK. This will bring more frequent spells of rain or showers. However there are likely to be drier and more settled periods for most areas too, especially at the start of the period. Temperatures are likely to be near or slightly above average on the whole, with the potential for some warmer spells, especially at first.
