    A wet start with outbreaks of heavy, possibly thundery, rain moving east through the morning. Much drier and clearer in the afternoon, feeling pleasant in the sunshine with lighter winds. Maximum Temperature 20 °C.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Turning wet and windy again on Tuesday, calmer on Wednesday and Thursday with outbreaks of rain at times that may turn thundery on Thursday.

    Rain or showers moving eastwards across many parts, heavy at times with a chance of thunder especially in the east during the afternoon. Becoming drier and brighter from the west.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Rain arriving into the West on Tuesday, fragmenting into showers by Wednesday moving east, mainly dry elsewhere. Perhaps some thundery rain in the east and north on Thursday. Temperatures cool.

    UK Outlook for Friday 1 Jul 2022 to Sunday 10 Jul 2022:

    There will be sunny spells for many with a few scattered showers at the beginning of July, some of which will be locally heavy and possibly thundery across Scotland. Winds are expected to be light generally but moderate at times, especially in the northwest and near heavy showers. The unsettled conditions are likely to be confined to the north of the country as we move further through the period, perhaps bringing some longer spells of rain to this region. Many eastern and southern areas likely to stay drier, although with the risk of showers remaining. Temperatures are expected to be close to or slightly below normal in the north but above normal in the south.

    There is a good chance of more settled conditions prevailing through the middle and later parts of July, although some northern areas may see spells of rain or showers at times, especially early in the period. These spells could extend across the country at times, but in general the south will see the best of the settled conditions. Temperatures are likely to be close to or a little above average initially but trending towards widely warm conditions later, especially across the south.
