    Regional forecast for East Midlands

Cloud clearing Saturday to sunshine, but also late thundery showers.

    This Evening and Tonight:

Dry during the evening and overnight, with light winds and largely clear skies allowing temperatures to dip. This may result in a few mist and fog patches forming later in the night, perhaps also some low cloud around the Wash. Minimum Temperature 5 °C.

Morning mist and low cloud will gradually clear to another very warm day with some sunny spells. For many this will culminate in sporadic, potentially thundery showers later. Maximum Temperature 24 °C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday starting warm and bright, but perhaps with thundery showers, then freshening from the northwest later. Becoming cloudier, breezier and less warm into the working week.

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Mostly dry with clear skies tonight.

    This Evening and Tonight:

Any early evening showers in the southeast will be dying out to leave a dry night, with mostly clear skies. There may be some low cloud and fog around some western and eastern coastal areas, with some fog patches inland.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Thundery showers will clear eastwards early on Sunday, but with rain affecting parts of the north and west. Unsettled, cooler and breezy on Monday and Tuesday, with rain at times.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 25 Apr 2018 to Friday 4 May 2018:

Cloud and outbreaks of rain should soon clear the southeast of England on Wednesday, leaving most areas with a mix of sunny spells and blustery showers, with these heaviest and most frequent in the north and west. A spell of rain and strong winds will then move into the west later on Wednesday, before clearing east during Thursday morning, with sunshine and showers following once again. For the rest of the period it will be generally changeable, with the best of any drier and brighter weather in the southeast, but with a chance of some rain at times even here. Temperatures overall will be around average, but it may be rather warm in the south and east at times.

UK Outlook for Saturday 5 May 2018 to Saturday 19 May 2018:

At the start of May changeable conditions are probable at first, with the southeast seeing the best of any drier, warmer weather, while the northwest will have more frequent spells of rain or showers. The forecast through the rest of this period is currently very uncertain, but through the first half of May it looks as though we could see a mixture of periods of more settled, fine and dry conditions interspersed with spells of showery and more changeable weather. Overall it will be wettest in the northwest, and driest in the southeast. Temperatures are likely to be around average, but with the risk of some cooler northerly winds at times.
