    Isolated light showers will gradually die away, with most staying dry throughout. Remaining rather cloudy and close, with temperatures well into the teens degrees Celsius. Minimum Temperature 16 °C.

    Tuesday:

    Very warm, with light winds and sunny spells contributing to a continuing humid feel. Mainly dry, but with the odd fleeting light shower possible in the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 26 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Warm and humid to start Wednesday, but becoming windy with rain then making erratic progress southeast. This will introduce much fresher conditions into Thursday, with sunny spells and blustery showers.

    Today:

    Rather cloudy for most, with light rain possible at times in central, southern and western areas. Sunny breaks appearing inland, but scattered showers possible in the afternoon. Warm and humid, especially in the southeast. Fresher in Scotland, with some sunshine.

    Tonight:

    Another warm night for most of the UK, although cooler further north. A good deal of cloud around, with the odd showery outbreak possible.

    Tuesday:

    Starting rather cloudy with drizzle in places, but brightening up into the afternoon with sunny spells and the odd light shower. Turning wet and windy in the far northwest later.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    A band of rain will move southeastwards across the UK on Wednesday. This will bring fresher and brighter conditions to all by Thursday and Friday, with sunshine and blustery showers.

    UK Outlook for Friday 24 Aug 2018 to Sunday 2 Sep 2018:

    On Friday and Saturday many places will have sunshine and showers. These showers heavy at times and with a risk of hail and thunder, particularly in the north, with the best of the sunnier spells in the southeast. It will be windy at times, and some more persistent rain may reach northwestern parts on Saturday. Through the rest of the weekend and into the following week the northwest will have showers or longer spells of rain at times, with drier and brighter conditions generally in the southeast, although even here some bands of rain may move through. This weather pattern is quite likely to continue through the rest of the period. Temperatures starting rather cool, but recovering to around normal, and perhaps warm at times in the southeast.

    UK Outlook for Monday 3 Sep 2018 to Monday 17 Sep 2018:

    During this period it looks likely that the weather pattern will only change slowly. Areas of high pressure and associated settled weather will probably increasingly dominate, with some longer dry spells, particularly for northwestern areas compared to much of August. However there are also likely to be some more changeable weather at times in the north and northwest with outbreaks of rain and local gales, with these conditions perhaps extending southeastwards at times. Temperatures by day are likely to be generally warmer than average, especially for the southeastern half of the UK but generally nearer normal further northwest, and there will be an increasing chance of chillier nights anywhere, as would be expected during September.
