UK forecast for the next 5 days

Turning milder but more unsettled over the weekend.

    This Evening and Tonight:

Showers becoming mostly confined to western coasts and hills. Elsewhere variable cloud; clearest skies are likely in eastern Scotland where a frost is likely, and southeast England, where a touch of frost is possible, with the odd fog patch.

Many eastern and central areas dry, with variable cloud, temperatures somewhat higher than recently. Western areas may see odd light showers, Northern Ireland and western Scotland turning more persistently wet.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Rain spreading southeast on Sunday, reaching SE England by evening. Heavy showers on Monday, then more rain on Tuesday, heaviest in the W/NW. Generally mild, but breezy at times.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 27 Oct 2021 to Friday 5 Nov 2021:

On Wednesday, a band of rain will lie across the centre of the country, with fine and dry weather to the south, and bright spells in the north but a risk of showers. Through the next few days of this period, Atlantic systems will continue to move in from the west, bringing heavy rain and strong, locally gale force winds. Some rainbands could become slow-moving with locally large rainfall accumulations possible, particularly over western hills. Temperatures generally around or a little above average. The rest of October will continue to see unsettled and windy weather arriving from the Atlantic, with outbreaks of potentially heavy rain for many. Wettest in the west and northwest, but still with brief dry interludes. Driest conditions likely across some south and southeastern areas.

UK Outlook for Saturday 6 Nov 2021 to Saturday 20 Nov 2021:

In the longer term, a continuation of the generally unsettled theme seems likely at first, with more rain and further showers in many places, especially once again in western areas - with temperatures around or a little above average. Towards the middle and end of November, there are signals for a greater chance of more settled conditions developing, particularly in southern and western areas, where colder nights, with a risk of frosts are likely, as well as an increased chance of mist and fog - especially overnight.
