    Often dry and bright with occasional sunny spells, but there will be a few showers, especially towards the West Coast. Feeling chilly in fresh northwest winds, strong on the coast. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Another chilly day on Tuesday with bright spells and scattered showers, winds slowly easing. Bright with sunny spells and well scattered showers Wednesday and Thursday. Light winds and cold nights.

    Fine and dry for most central and southern parts, then bands of cloud and rain moving south overnight, reaching the far south later. Windy, particularly in the north, where rain will be replaced by scattered showers and turning colder.


    Rain soon clearing the south, then blustery winds and a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, most frequent in the north and in coastal areas exposed to the northwest.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Cool northerly winds Tuesday and Wednesday, with a scattering of showers, heavier near coasts. Some more persistent rain is possible for parts of the southwest. Further scattered showers Thursday.

    UK Outlook for Friday 30 Sep 2022 to Sunday 9 Oct 2022:

    A large area of rain is likely to start in the west early on Friday, then spread eastwards to affect all areas by evening. Clearer weather is expected to follow, albeit with fresh winds and showers at times. Strong winds or gales are possible in the north. The unsettled regime is then expected to continue dominating the UK weather. Showers or longer periods of rain are likely for most parts of the country, with the highest rainfall expected in the west and northwest. Winds may become strong at times, most likely in the northwest. A shift towards more settled weather could possibly begin at the end of this period. Temperatures rather cold at first, then trending close to average.
