    Mostly dry but rather cloudy evening and much of the night, However, patchy rain will spread south across Argyll overnight, reaching all parts by dawn. Minimum Temperature 9 °C.


    A rather dull day with patchy outbreaks of rain and moderate westerly winds. Turning drier away from Argyll by evening. Maximum Temperature 17 °C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Cloudy with patchy rain across Argyll. Further south mainly dry and at times bright or sunny spells with temperatures trending up. Quite breezy at times.

    South, dry, sunny and warm; north, breezy with some rain.


    Southern and central parts will have a dry and warm day with sunny periods. Cloudier further north, perhaps a few showers for Northern Ireland and southern Scotland, with more in way of rain for northwest and northern Scotland where windy.


    Further rain at times across the north, whilst central and southern parts dry with clear periods and just a few shallow mist patches for parts of Wales and the southwest.


    Further rain at times for northern and western Scotland and for a time in southern, fringing Northern Ireland. Else, dry and warm with spells of sunshine, best in the south.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Mainly dry with light winds and lengthy sunny spells, but cloud, rain and stronger winds at times for north/northwest Scotland. Becoming warmer everywhere, locally hot in the south from Tuesday.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 10 Aug 2022 to Friday 19 Aug 2022:

    The start of the period will likely be fine and sunny for most, although the northwest may see more in the way of cloud and occasional rain with stronger winds at times. Temperatures are expected to continue above average, becoming very warm or hot in the south and rather warm to warm in the north. Into the weekend and through next week, mainly dry and settled weather will likely continue for most. The north is expected to see the most of any precipitation, but there is a low risk of thunderstorms developing in the south. Temperatures will likely range from warm to very warm for much of England and Wales, especially across the southern parts. Near normal to warm elsewhere.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 20 Aug 2022 to Saturday 3 Sep 2022:

    The second half of August may bring a shift away from the earlier settled conditions for many, with occasional periods of unsettled weather over the northern and western parts, and increased chances of thunderstorms in the south. Temperatures will trend between average and warm for most, and likely warm or very warm in the south, where it will also turn humid at times. Further into the period, the unsettled conditions may spread further south and east at times, although the north and west are still likely to see the most of any precipitation.
