    Rain moving eastwards on Monday. Dry, brighter weather following.

    This Evening and Tonight:

    Showers across western Tayside and Stirlingshire dying out this evening to leave all parts with a dry night. Becoming rather cold across the east with a touch of ground frost over rural Perthshire. Turning milder and cloudy in west later. . Minimum Temperature 3 °C.

    Monday:

    Dry start over Angus and Fife. Cloud and patchy rain soon reaching Stirlingshire and west Perthshire will edge eastwards later in morning. Becoming dry with some sunshine in the afternoon. Maximum Temperature 14 °C.

    Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

    Bright on Tuesday with a few showers, these mainly at first. Mainly dry on Wednesday and Thursday with some brightness, perhaps a few showers in the west.

    Today:

    Rather cloudy for most this morning, with rain spreading east, gradually clearing to brighter skies through the rest of the day. Occasional showers likely for Scotland and Northern Ireland during the afternoon too, but overall a milder day than Sunday.

    Tonight:

    Some clear spells this evening. Rain spreads in from the west overnight, bringing low cloud and hill fog in the south. Mild in the west, perhaps chilly further east.

    Tuesday:

    Breezy in the north with bands of showers, sometimes heavy. Cloudy skies elsewhere with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, mainly across northern and western England and Wales. Mild.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Largely bright but breezy in the north, with some showers. Cloudy with patchy rain further south, edging northwards at times before clearing south on Friday. Generally mild/warm across the south.

    UK Outlook for Friday 27 Oct 2017 to Sunday 5 Nov 2017:

    On Friday, cloud and rain across central or northern parts will move southeastwards, probably clearing southeast England later, or early on Saturday, after a mostly fine start here. Brighter, showery weather will follow from the northwest, although another band of rain may move eastwards across Britain on Saturday. It will be breezy, with gales possible in the north, and temperatures will return towards average after a warm start in the south. Thereafter the weather is likely to become generally unsettled and sometimes windy, with rainbands crossing eastwards over the country, interspersed by brighter, showery conditions. The northwest can expect the wettest and windiest weather. However, there is a low chance of drier, more settled weather developing from the west later. Temperatures will trend down to slightly below normal.

    UK Outlook for Monday 6 Nov 2017 to Monday 20 Nov 2017:

    There is an increasing chance that the weather will become more settled during this period, especially across southern parts of the British Isles. As a result frost and fog could become more likely. The north may continue to have more changeable conditions though. Temperatures are most likely to be near average, although probably below normal in some of the more settled spells, especially where any overnight fog proves slow to clear.
