    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Thursday is likely to be wet in the morning, and windy all day. Friday and Saturday are expected to be dry, brighter and warmer with much lighter winds.

    Showers in east fading, then dry with clear spells in central and eastern parts. Cloudier and breezier in west and north with rain moving east, locally heavy later over high ground in west.

    Cloud and rain in the west moving east and breaking up into showers. Some eastern areas remaining dry. Breezy for all and quite gusty in the north.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Heavy, blustery showers for northwest Scotland Thursday and early Friday. Fragmenting rain pushes southeast from Northern Ireland across England and Wales Thursday; more settled weather follows into the weekend.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 29 May 2022 to Tuesday 7 Jun 2022:

    Sunday is likely to bring an increased risk of rain and showers, especially across central and eastern areas. Moderate to fresh northerly winds will make for cool temperatures in the north and east, with elsewhere remaining around average for the time of year. Into the beginning of next week it will likely be mainly fine and dry, but occasional rain and showers for some. Feeling warm in any sunshine. Towards the bank holiday weekend this pattern is likely to continue, with some dry weather and sunny spells, but also some more unsettled and wet conditions developing for some parts of the UK. Any stronger winds likely easing and temperatures likely remaining around average for most.

    This period is likely to bring generally settled conditions, with most areas being drier than average overall.
