    Late sunshine through Tuesday evening ahead of largely clear skies overnight. Some isolated mist and fog patches will develop in the early hours but will clear quickly into Wednesday. Remaining warm overnight, particularly in urban areas. Minimum Temperature 14 °C.


    A dry and sunny day on Wednesday with blue skies for many. Feeling hotter than Tuesday, though still coolest along coastal areas in the fresher breeze. High UV levels. Maximum Temperature 29 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Remaining dry to end the week with light winds and plenty of prolonged sunshine. Temperatures continuing to climb into the weekend, making it feel increasingly hot.

    Many areas will be dry with long clear periods. Some mist and fog patches forming over eastern parts of England and also over Northern Ireland and southern Scotland. Remaining cloudy and windy across the far north with outbreaks of rain.


    Fine and dry with plenty of sunshine for most and becoming hot across central and southern areas. Cloudy and breezy for far north of Scotland with some rain at times.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Dry and sunny for most; becoming very warm or hot, locally very hot. Cooler near some eastern coasts, and also the far north; cloudier here with light rain at times.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 14 Aug 2022 to Tuesday 23 Aug 2022:

    It will be an initially dry and very warm start to this period for most with some early mist or fog patches possible. The Northern Isles, and perhaps far northwest Scotland, may see cloud and patchy drizzle at times. From Monday, areas of rain or showers can be expected. Developing from the southwest, we may see showers turning thundery throughout the week across southwest England and Wales. Meanwhile the southeast may see more generally rainy conditions. More changeable weather prevails through this period, with risk of heavier showers or thunderstorms continuing, but clear and dry spells in between become possible for many. Temperatures initially cooling down to nearer normal and feeling humid, but returning to warm or very warm, becoming locally hot in much of England and Wales.

    Following a period of unsettled weather, we may see some generally more settled conditions towards the end of August. Continuing into September, normal weather can be expected for this time of year. This may bring some spells of rain or showers, most likely in the north and west. However, periods of dry and sunny weather can be expected in between. Temperatures are likely to be above normal, with the chance for some very warm spells.
