    A fine, bright start in many places. Cloud building through the morning with scattered showers developing, these turning locally heavy and thundery during the afternoon. Pleasant sunny spells in between showers. Mainly light or gentle winds. Maximum Temperature 19 °C.

    Tonight:

    Showers fading away by the middle of the evening to leave a dry night with clear spells. Some drizzle developing overnight across the Pennines as cloud increases from the west. Minimum Temperature 5 °C.

    Wednesday:

    Dry and bright initially in the east. Becoming rather windy with cloud and outbreaks of rain spreading east during the morning and early afternoon. Turning drier and brighter later. Maximum Temperature 18 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Cloudy, occasionally wet and windy Thursday. A fine day Friday with plenty of sunshine and lighter winds. Dry, sunny spells during Saturday. Temperatures generally around or slightly above average.

    Sunny spells and scattered heavy showers today.

    Today:

    Remaining areas of rain, locally heavy, over eastern England soon clearing, then all parts having a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy with risk of thunder and hail. Fewer showers and more sunshine in west this afternoon.

    Tonight:

    Showers in east fading, then dry with clear spells in central and eastern parts. Cloudier and breezier in west and north with rain moving east, locally heavy in northwest Scotland.

    Wednesday:

    Cloud and occasional rain moving east, although some eastern areas remaining dry. This followed by sunny intervals and a few showers. Breezy and quite gusty in the north.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Unsettled and breezy on Thursday with a mix of rain, showers, and some sunnier spells. Improving away from north Scotland on Friday, and becoming more widely settled by Saturday.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 29 May 2022 to Tuesday 7 Jun 2022:

    Sunday is likely to bring an increased risk of rain and showers, especially across central and eastern areas. Moderate to fresh northerly winds will make for cool temperatures in the north and east, with elsewhere remaining around average for the time of year. Into the beginning of next week it will likely be mainly fine and dry, but occasional rain and showers for some. Feeling warm in any sunshine. Towards the bank holiday weekend this pattern is likely to continue, with some dry weather and sunny spells, but also some more unsettled and wet conditions developing for some parts of the UK. Any stronger winds likely easing and temperatures likely remaining around average for most.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 7 Jun 2022 to Tuesday 21 Jun 2022:

    In the beginning of June, we can expect to see a lot of dry weather across the UK. Temperatures may potentially become warm in the south and southwest but remaining closer to average in the north. Later on in June, we may however see some less settled and cooler weather, particularly in northern regions.
