    A band of rain arriving overnight. Turning drier tomorrow afternoon.

    This Evening and Tonight:

    Widespread cloud to start the evening with showery outbreaks of rain in the north. A band of rain arrives from the northwest later and will move slowly southeastwards through the night affecting all areas by the early hours. Minimum Temperature 11 °C.

    Wednesday:

    Having cleared the north by dawn the overnight rain will continue to clear southeastwards through the morning. Drier and brighter conditions to follow although showers still possible. Feeling much fresher. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    An unsettled and windy day on Thursday with widespread heavy showers. Further showers on Friday although less widespread than Thursday. A cold, dry day on Saturday with some sunny spells.

    This Evening and Tonight:

    Band of rain, locally heavy, will move south-east from Scotland and Northern Ireland to be across northern England, Wales and south-west England by morning. Ahead of this, showers, some heavy, breaking out. Clearer to the north, with local frost.

    Wednesday:

    A few bright spells in the south-east, else cloudy across much of England and Wales with outbreaks of rain. Clearer in the north and west with sunshine and showers.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Most areas seeing showers or longer spells of rain Thursday; risk of hail and thunder in the south. More settled weather from the west during the weekend. Cool for all.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 27 Sep 2020 to Tuesday 6 Oct 2020:

    A brief period of drier weather on Sunday, though it will be cool with a ground frost possible even in the south. Into the start of next week, it is set to return to an unsettled picture. Generally windy weather coupled with showers and occasional longer spells of rain. The heaviest rain most likely in the north and northwest, which may also see gales at times. Although in the east and southeast, there may still be brief interludes of drier and sunnier weather. Temperatures will generally be rather cool, potentially cooler in more persistent rainfall, and overnight frost may be seen in prone parts of the north as and when calmer spells of weather allow.

    Further into October, conditions are likely to remain unsettled for most. The most unsettled conditions being in southern areas. Generally windy with a chance of gales however the risk of gales reduces later in the period. Feeling cool throughout with a risk of overnight frost. Lighter winds means that morning fog patches may also become more prevalent towards mid-month.
