    Friday windy, cloudy with rain over the hills, some brightness further east. Lighter winds on Saturday, cloudy with showers. Sunday mainly dry, breezy with sunny spells. Near average temperatures throughout.

    Band of patchy rain and drizzle sinks south into Wales while heavy showers become more prolonged across the far north, with gales perhaps severe for Shetland. Elsewhere mainly fine, isolated fog in southern England.

    Thursday:

    Gales in far north easing but intermittent rain continuing for some northwestern parts. South Wales and southwest England may be drizzly for a time. Elsewhere mostly fine and rather warm.

    Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

    Patchy rain at times for northern and western areas Friday. Elsewhere, mainly fine and warm throughout, though some rain or showers in places Saturday and Sunday, locally heavy, possibly thundery.

    UK Outlook for Monday 27 Sep 2021 to Wednesday 6 Oct 2021:

    A band of blustery, sometimes intense, showers pass over much of the UK through Monday, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures for the oncoming week as it passes. As such, eastern areas are likely to start off warm and fine once patchy mist clears on Monday ahead of this. Breezy winds with the risk of gales for Northern Isles. A cyclonic pattern will likely develop from Tuesday and last into October, bringing largely unsettled condition across the UK with a very general northwest to southeast split: Showers and long spells of rain towards northern areas with the southeast perhaps seeing drier and sunnier weather. However, unsettled weather could still spread south with outbreaks of rain. Temperatures near average but may rise slightly towards the end of this period.
