UK forecast for the next 5 days

A largely dry night with fog and patchy frost

    This Evening and Tonight:

Remaining cloudy tonight for many with hill fog and in eastern England the cloud may be thick enough to give patchy drizzle. Further west there will be some clearer spells with a patchy frost and fog reforming or thickening.

    Friday:

Dense fog patches will clear to give a mainly cloudy afternoon with patchy drizzle. Brighter spells in the west will be replaced by cloud and strengthening winds later on.

    Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 16 Jan 2018 to Thursday 25 Jan 2018:

Sunny spells and blustery showers will extend across the UK to start this period. These showers will turn wintry in places, particularly in the north and some of them will be heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Unsettled conditions will then continue, with further showers or longer spells of rain at times which may also give some snow, mainly in the north. Wet weather will be interspersed by brighter, showery interludes. Often it is going to be windy, with gales or severe gales at times. Overall there will be a cold feel with frost overnight under clear skies but milder spells are also expected at times, especially in the south. Later on in January we may see a slighty drier and more settled interlude, particularly across southern parts.

UK Outlook for Friday 26 Jan 2018 to Friday 9 Feb 2018:

Through this period the generally unsettled weather will most likely continue, with spells of rain and strong winds at times. While confidence is low at this stage, it looks most likely that northwestern areas will see the strongest winds and most frequent spells of rain, with southern and eastern parts perhaps seeing somewhat drier conditions. However, there may be some more settled weather in between weather systems too, bringing an increased risk of overnight frost and fog to the whole of the UK. Temperatures will be below average to start the period, but are expected to trend back towards normal towards the end of the period.
