    Outbreaks of occasionally heavy rain for the Western Isles and Northwest Highlands. However, mainly dry and brighter around Inverness and east of the Great Glen. Maximum Temperature 19 °C.

    Tonight:

    Skies remain cloudy as rain spreads to east of the Great Glen overnight into Tuesday. Any heavier falls will be restricted to Skye and Wester Ross. Minimum Temperature 13 °C.

    Tuesday:

    Cloudy with some patchy rain at times in the west, drier with increasing bright spells in the east. Breezy. Maximum Temperature 21 °C.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Cloudy with patchy rain in the west, moving to western Sutherland late Wednesday into Friday, drier in the east. Breezy Wednesday, lighter winds and more sunshine Thursday and Friday.

    Dry with plenty of sunshine for most. Cloudier at times over parts of eastern England and also over the far north of Scotland where there will be some rain at times.

    Tonight:

    Much of the UK will be dry with long clear periods and a risk of some mist and fog patches. Remaining cloudy across far north with outbreaks rain.

    Tuesday:

    Dry with plenty of sunshine for most and feeling hot across central and southern areas. Cloudy and breezy for north and west of Scotland with some drizzly rain at times.

    Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

    Cloud and rain in the far north at times. Elsewhere, dry and sunny. Becoming very warm away from eastern coasts. Increasingly hot across much of England and Wales.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 13 Aug 2022 to Monday 22 Aug 2022:

    The start of this period will see dry and sunny spells for most with temperatures very warm or hot. Meanwhile, far north and northwest regions may see cloud, patchy rain, and coastal mist and fog in places, with near normal temperatures. Heavier showers may develop in the southwest and spread through the week, with some possible thundery showers in the south. Temperatures remaining above average but trending downward. More changeable weather prevails through this period, with heavier showers or thunderstorms with clear spells possible across many areas. The north may see generally more rainy conditions. Temperatures remain warm or very warm, potentially locally hot in southern areas. Towards the end of this period, we may see a return to more settled conditions, bringing dry and sunny weather.

    To begin with, settled conditions are likely, bringing sunny and dry weather for most. However, as we move through August and into September, more changeable weather can be expected. Spells of wet weather are likely, with the northwest seeing the wettest conditions and the southeast staying the driest. Sunny and dry spells in between rainfall can be expected, and temperatures are likely to remain above average.
