    Cloudy, windy start to the day but the rain gradually dying out this morning. Drier and a little brighter by the afternoon with winds becoming northwesterly and gradually easing down. Maximum Temperature 15 °C.


    Dry with clear periods but rather cloudy at times. It will be a colder night especially under clearer skies across Argyll. Winds staying light. Minimum Temperature 5 °C.


    Mostly dry and rather cloudy. There will still be some sunshine, especially towards the Clyde Coast and across Argyll. A colder day with freshening easterly winds. Maximum Temperature 12 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Rain and fresh southeast winds on Thursday morning then drier, brighter in afternoon. Drier, brighter weather will continue on Friday before rain and strengthening easterly winds develop during Saturday.

    Wet and windy for northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland, but winds and rain easing through the day. Drier, brighter with lighter winds and feeling fresher elsewhere. Turning cloudier in the south later with some rain possible.


    Rain, low cloud and mist in the south will spread across central England and Wales. Drier, cooler elsewhere with some clear spells, allowing some patchy frost and fog to form.


    Cloud and rain across central parts will gradually clear east with drier, brighter conditions following from the southwest. Rather cloudy and mainly dry elsewhere with some sunny spells possible.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Wet and windy weather arriving from west through Thursday. Unsettled on Friday with showers, before further strong winds and rain arrive on Saturday. Feeling cooler than of late.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 21 Oct 2017 to Monday 30 Oct 2017:

    Next weekend looks like being very unsettled with wet and very windy weather likely to affect most parts of the UK. This will bring the risk of gales or severe gales, particularly across the west and southwest, although there remains some uncertainty over the extent of these. The following week looks set to remain unsettled, with further periods of wet and windy weather, however it is possible that there will be some longer spells of drier and brighter weather in between, most likely across the southeast. This may lead to more settled conditions towards the end of the month, although there remains some uncertainty. Temperatures will vary around normal, before becoming slightly warmer for a time next week. There is an increased risk of chilly nights in more settled spells.

    UK Outlook for Tuesday 31 Oct 2017 to Tuesday 14 Nov 2017:

    As we head into the start in November, a changeable pattern is most likely at first bringing spells of wet and windy weather, interspersed with some drier and brighter interludes. The most unsettled weather is likely across the north and west, with the south and east often drier and brighter. These drier conditions may become more prolonged as we head through the first week of November, bringing an increased chance of frost and fog overnight. However, the northwest may remain more unsettled, leading to a more general northwest/southeast split by mid month, with the wettest and windiest weather in the northwest. Temperatures are likely to stay close to normal, although it may be colder than normal where settled spells are prolonged.
