    Early low cloud will burn back to the coasts in the morning. A dry day will follow with long bright or sunny spells. Feeling warm, especially along the Great Glen. Maximum Temperature 25 °C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Bright spells with scattered heavy showers on Sunday. Mostly cloudy with showery rain on Monday, perhaps heavy and thundery. Brighter and cooler on Tuesday with a fresh northerly breeze.

    Most areas fine after a hot evening; staying warm, particularly in some coastal, urban and upland areas. Patchy fog developing for eastern England and Northern Ireland. Some northeastern coasts staying misty, perhaps spreading further inland. The far north staying damp.

    Saturday:

    Sunny and hot or very hot for most, after any low cloud and fog vanishes; highest temperatures in central and southern England and east Wales. The far northeast misty, cooler.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Hot weather continuing across much of England and Wales Sunday, before showers and thunderstorms, already affecting Scotland and NI, spread south and east. Temperatures gradually easing back closer to normal.

    Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 17 Aug 2022 to Friday 26 Aug 2022:

    A generally unsettled start to the period for many with a risk of some prolonged heavy or thundery showers in the south and east. In contrast, the north is expected to see more settled conditions with a fair amount of cloud. The southwest may experience the best of any sunshine, while areas of more persistent yet lighter rain are likely in the northwest. Into the weekend, periods of rain will alternate with drier and clearer weather. Any prolonged rain is expected to occur across the northern parts. Temperatures likely near normal at first, but becoming rather warm again further into the period, especially in the south. Unsettled conditions will continue to dominate for most towards the end of the period.

    UK Outlook for Saturday 27 Aug 2022 to Saturday 10 Sep 2022:

    The conditions are likely to become generally more settled towards the end of August. Moving into the start of September, the north and west may see periods of rain which could occasionally spread further south and east. Some brighter and more settled periods are also expected, especially across the southern and eastern parts. Temperatures are likely to trend above average with the chance of occasional very warm spells.
