Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 17 May 2022 to Thursday 26 May 2022:

A variable start to the period; cloudy with outbreaks of locally heavy rain in the west and southwest, but mostly dry weather and sunny spells expected further north and east. Generally light winds with breezes expected along western and northern coasts. Into the middle of the week, the west and northwest will likely see cloudy weather and rain, with a chance of heavy and thundery showers at times. The south and southeast are expected to hang on to drier weather for longer, but even these areas are likely to see rain and similar showery outbreaks. The more unsettled weather may become widespread over the weekend and into the beginning of the following week. Widely warm or very warm throughout, perhaps hot in the south and southeast earlier in the period.

UK Outlook for Friday 27 May 2022 to Friday 10 Jun 2022:

Rather changeable at the start of the period, with spells of rain or showers for many areas, some of these heavy and thundery. A change in weather is likely as we move from May into June, with a shift towards more settled, drier conditions. Showers still remain a possibility in some places, but a drier end to the period is likely for most. We can expect temperatures to continue to be warm or very warm, but likely to move back to nearer normal through June.
