    Cloudy morning with overnight rain gradually dying out. Then mainly dry and becoming brighter during the afternoon with late afternoon sunshine. Feeling rather cool with light winds. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Remaining changeable and often cloudy with occasional showery rain on Monday and Tuesday. Becoming mainly dry on Wednesday.

    Persistent and occasionally heavy rain initially developing across Northern Ireland, then southern Scotland, northwest England and north Wales later. Becoming windy in the southwest and through the Irish Sea.

    Sunday:

    Heavy rain will clear northern England and southern and eastern Scotland through the morning. Humid with some further drizzle at times across parts of the south. Sunniest across northern Scotland.

    Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

    Humid for most parts, and becoming very warm in any sunshine, with warm nights too. Rain, mainly in the northwest, moving southeast by midweek, with fresher conditions following on.

    UK Outlook for Thursday 23 Aug 2018 to Saturday 1 Sep 2018:

    Thursday is likely to see a fresher day across the UK with a mixture of sunshine and showers. Frontal cloud and rain may linger across southern England for a time but should clear the UK completely by the end of the day. Some good spells of sunshine developing across the south with occasional heavy, blustery showers in the north. Through the rest of the week and weekend there will probably be a good deal of dry, bright or sunny weather, especially in the south, while the far west and northwest will have some thicker cloud and rain at times. This weather pattern is quite likely to continue through the rest of the period, with temperatures probably around normal, but perhaps rather cool in the north and northwest.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 2 Sep 2018 to Sunday 16 Sep 2018:

    During this period it looks likely that the weather pattern will only change slowly. Areas of high pressure and associated settled weather are likely to dominate across the south and southeast, bringing generally dry and bright weather here. More changeable conditions with outbreaks of rain and strong winds are likely across the north and northwest, perhaps extending southeastwards at times. Through September, confidence in the forecast decreases. However, we will probably see longer dry and settled spells at times, these perhaps becoming more dominant than previously in the north and northwest. Temperatures by day are likely to be generally warmer than average, but there will be an increasing chance of chillier nights.
