UK forecast for the next 5 days

Warmer for many today, with some sunshine but scattered showers.

Patchy rain in southern England and perhaps the far east should fade, joining many areas in having some warm sunny spells. However a few sharp showers are likely to develop, mainly across southern UK. Rain will reach southwest England later.

Rain in the southwest moves northeastwards, with some heavy rain likely for some. Somewhat drier weather returns to some southwestern areas, while parts of Scotland remain dry. Mild in south.

Rain nudges northwards across Scotland but eases, parts of northern Scotland bright and warm. Elsewhere rather cloudy, murky start, then sunshine and scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms. Windy in south.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Sunshine and showers, locally heavy and thundery in the northwest. Best of the dry, sunny weather in the southeast. Temperatures around average. Becoming widely windy, strongest in the northwest.

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 11 Jun 2022 to Monday 20 Jun 2022:

The weekend should see drier and more settled weather in the south and east, with wetter and windier conditions further north, especially the northwest. Showers could become thundery with hail at times, and there is also a potential for gales. At the start of the following week there is a risk of further thundery showers moving over the southeast, leaving the north with sunny spells and the odd shower. However, the unsettled weather may return to the west at the end of the period and the east and southeast may see drier and brighter conditions. Temperatures likely to be near to normal, perhaps slightly cooler in the north and west, and later, the south may become slightly warmer than average.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 21 Jun 2022 to Tuesday 5 Jul 2022:

Confidence remains low for this period, however for the later part of June the UK will possibly be under the influence of slightly higher pressure to the southwest, with a chance of above average rainfall for the time of year. Temperatures generally around or a little above average at first, which would allow for some short-lived spells of warm or hot weather, especially in the southeast - as would normally be expected in summer. These spells become less likely towards the end of the period.
