Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Saturday 30 Sep 2017 to Monday 9 Oct 2017:

Saturday will probably be a day of sunshine and showers. Western parts are likely to be dry and bright at first, but rain and strong winds may arrive later in the day, perhaps bringing gales to Northern Ireland and western Scotland. Rain and strong winds may well be more widespread on Sunday. In the following week, it is likely to stay rather unsettled with spells of rain spreading east, and brighter showery weather following along behind. It will be windy with the risk of gales in places, particularly across western coasts. Temperatures will be around average for the time of year, with brief warmer or cooler interludes. The changeable weather means that night frosts are quite unlikely, except in the mountains of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 10 Oct 2017 to Tuesday 24 Oct 2017:

Changeable weather is likely to continue across the country in the second week in October, with wind and rain at times, especially in the north and west. This will bring an increased likelihood of gales as well as heavier rain across some parts. By mid October, confidence in the forecast reduces, but drier and brighter spells could well become more prolonged, especially in the south, though it may remain changeable. On the whole, temperatures are expected to be close to normal for the time of year, but in any settled spells there could be chilly nights, with an increased risk of mist, fog and frost, especially in the north.
