Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Wednesday 24 Jan 2018 to Friday 2 Feb 2018:

A band of rain will gradually clear on Wednesday with brighter but showery conditions following on behind. It will stay changeable towards the end of the working week with a mixture of sunny spells and showers or longer periods of rain. Northwestern parts are likely to see the heaviest rain with snow possible over high ground, and it will be driest in the south and east. Also, it will be windy at times particularly in the northwest. As we head through to the end of the week and indeed the beginning of February, it is likely to turn mainly dry and perhaps colder, particularly in the south, with overnight frost and fog more likely here. Winds are expected to ease overall with any strong winds more likely in the north.

UK Outlook for Saturday 3 Feb 2018 to Saturday 17 Feb 2018:

Early February is likely to bring a relatively settled period of weather with a good deal of dry weather, relatively light winds and frost and fog expected to form overnight. There is considerable uncertainty at this stage however, as we head towards the middle of February we are most likely to see short spells of wet and windy weather move across the UK, interspersed with colder, brighter and drier interludes. Throughout this period temperatures are expected to average out at close to normal but it will be colder at times during the periods of more settled weather
