    A cloudy evening and night to come with occasional rain, this most persistent across Orkney. Drier conditions expected to edge into eastern parts towards the end of the night. Occasionally fresh north or northeasterly winds easing for a time overnight. Minimum Temperature 8 °C.


    Any rain over western areas soon clearing to leave a bright morning with a few sunny spells developing. Becoming cloudier again in the afternoon with patchy rain. Strengthening northerly winds. Maximum Temperature 13 °C.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    A few bright intervals and the odd light shower on Sunday. Mainly dry and bright on Monday before rain spreads from the west later on Tuesday.

    A breezy and showery day for many and feeling cool. Some showers heavy with the chance of the odd rumble of thunder during the afternoon. Strengthening winds and heavy rain arriving into the northeast with gales for some parts here.


    Rain and strong winds in the north moving into Northern Ireland and northern England. Some coastal gales likely here. Further south a few showers but a dry night for many.


    Rain or showers for many with heaviest showers over northern and east England by day. Windy and cool for most.

    Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

    Rain or showers for many eastern and southern parts slowly clearing southeast to more settled conditions. Winds easing too. Rather cool and chilly overnight but feeling warm in sunny spells.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 10 Jun 2020 to Friday 19 Jun 2020:

    Through the second week of June, there will be a mixture of sunny spells and showers across many parts. The showers will be most frequent in the north and east, along with some longer spells of rain. The best of the drier conditions should be seen in the south and west, with plenty of sunny spells. Temperatures should increase towards the end of the week, although it will feel windy at times. Towards the middle of June, changeable conditions should continue with further showers and perhaps longer spells of rain, mostly confined to the north and east. Generally, rather cool at the start of the period, particularly in the north and east. Temperatures are likely to recover to average, as conditions become more settled by the end of the period.

    UK Outlook for Friday 19 Jun 2020 to Friday 3 Jul 2020:

    Through the middle of June, it will stay rather changeable with showers and longer spells of rain continuing in the north and east. However, towards the latter part of June, it will start to become more widely settled with longer and drier periods. Temperatures should be close to average for the majority of June, but towards the end of the month they could trend above average.
