Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Tuesday 28 Sep 2021 to Thursday 7 Oct 2021:

A cyclonic pattern will likely develop by Tuesday, bringing a mixture of sunshine and showers for much of the UK. In the northwest, these showers are likely to be heavy and possibly thundery whilst in the south they are signalled to be more organised. For the remainder of this period, a rough split in conditions continues. The north and west will see the worst of any unsettled weather, with showers and outbreaks of rain, while the south and east see the best of any drier and sunnier conditions. Some heavier rain and strong winds are likely to be seen at the boundary between these two areas at times also, sometimes spreading into southern areas. Temperatures near average but may rise slightly towards the end of this period.

UK Outlook for Friday 8 Oct 2021 to Friday 22 Oct 2021:

Confidence is typically low through this period. Current signals suggest the higher pressure is more likely over the south during this period, giving generally dry and settle conditions. More settled conditions may spread northwards at times. Lower pressure in the north will bring periods of showers or longer spells along with stronger winds. Temperatures most likely around or above average.
