Regional Forecast for London & South East England

Headline:

Windy, with scattered blustery showers easing. Brighter spells developing Sunday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Windy, with scattered blustery, and perhaps heavy showers likely during the evening, most frequent across the far south and east. These generally easing overnight, although a few showers will remain possible throughout. Staying rather windy along the English Channel coast. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday:

Further blustery showers are likely during the morning, before easing away eastwards through the day. Some brighter spells are then expected to develop, with winds gradually easing. Feeling rather cool. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Dry, Monday morning, but increasingly cloudy with some rain later. Cloudy, with rain at times Tuesday and rather breezy. Grey start likely Wednesday, but some warm brighter spells possible later.

Updated: 15:45 on Sat 21 Oct 2017 BST

UK forecast for the next 5 days

Headline:

Gales easing overnight. Becoming drier and brighter tomorrow.

This Evening and Tonight:

Most areas will be rather cloudy during the evening and overnight, with showers or longer spells of rain. The wind will slowly ease, although gales are still likely to affect some northwestern parts, and it will generally be mild.

Sunday:

Sunday will begin rather cloudy in most areas with some showery rain. It will gradually become drier and brighter, especially across central and eastern England. Still windy, and feeling cool.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

On Monday rain will gradually spread eastwards across Britain. Southern areas will see further rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, extending to western parts later. Sunshine and showers are likely elsewhere.

Updated: 15:18 on Sat 21 Oct 2017 BST

Outlook for the UK over the next 6-30 days

UK Outlook for Thursday 26 Oct 2017 to Saturday 4 Nov 2017:

The north and northwest will be cloudy and windy on Thursday with rain at times, and rain may affect other western areas for a time on Friday. Elsewhere it will be a mostly dry end to the week, with southern and southeastern parts seeing the best of any sunshine, although some stubborn overnight fog patches are also possible here. Temperatures will generally be above average and it could become very warm in these sunnier areas. Thereafter the weather is generally expected to become less settled. The north and northwest should see the wettest and windiest of the weather though, with some drier spells expected to develop towards the southeast. Temperatures are most likely to start above normal, although could trend downwards through the period.

UK Outlook for Sunday 5 Nov 2017 to Sunday 19 Nov 2017:

There is an increasing chance that the weather will become more settled during this period, especially across southern parts of the British Isles. As a result frost and fog could become more likely. The north may continue to have more unsettled conditions though. Temperatures are most likely to be near or slightly above average, although probably below normal in some of the more settled spells, especially where any overnight fog proves slow to clear.
