Current activities

Michael is presently developing cloud computing services for processing and sharing monthly to decadal forecasts.

Career background

Michael has been developing meteorological software since 1987, first at Reading University's Department of Meteorology, briefly at the ECMWF, and since 1996 at the Met Office.

In April 2012 Michael  helped organise and deliver the International Space Apps Challenge hackathon. He continues to design and deliver collaborative innovation events at the Met Office and across the UK.
