A mostly cloudy and damp night to come with a continued risk of showers. Winds staying strong through the night, with the risk of gales at times around coasts, particularly near the Bristol Channel. Frost-free. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunshine and blustery showers continuing for a while on Saturday, although fewer showers and lighter winds into the afternoon. More persistent rain will sweep eastwards in the evening. Mild. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Rain clearing to showers and sunny spells on Sunday. Turning colder with a frosty start on Monday but largely dry and bright. Rain returns on Tuesday with strengthening winds.

Southern and eastern areas are likely to be drier, although a chance of showers or spells of rain remain likely here. Strong winds are probable, with a low risk of gales mainly across western parts. Into early April, more settled conditions and drier interludes become increasingly likely, although a chance of wetter weather tending toward the south. Temperatures are generally above average, though colder conditions remain possible in the far north and northeast at first.
