    A cloudy morning with patchy rain, however the rain becomes persistent and heavy at times, especially across the southeast, during the afternoon.Occasionally strong southeasterly winds with coastal gales possible. Maximum Temperature 16 °C.

    Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

    Dry with sunny spells and easing winds Thursday. Strong winds and rain spread east Thursday night, then breezy with showers Friday. Lighter winds with rain or showers at times Saturday.

    Rain clearing east Thursday, with sunny spells developing for many. A band of rain moves across the UK from the west on Friday. Showers on Saturday with rain possible later.

    UK Outlook for Sunday 1 Oct 2017 to Tuesday 10 Oct 2017:

    Sunday and Monday are expected to be rather wet days with spells of rain in most areas followed by brighter and showery conditions. It's also expected to be windy with gales likely in places. Unsettled weather will then continue during the middle of next week with spells of rain travelling eastwards, and brighter, showery weather following along behind. It will be windy with the risk of gales in places, particularly across northern and western coasts. Later on next week we may see more settled conditions develop, chiefly across southern parts which will give an increased risk of fog forming overnight. Temperatures will be around average, but with a chance of frost in clear spells overnight.

    UK Outlook for Wednesday 11 Oct 2017 to Wednesday 25 Oct 2017:

    Changeable weather is likely to continue across much of the country in the second week in October, bringing wind and rain at times, particularly in the north and west. This will bring an increased likelihood of gales as well as heavier rain to the north and west. However further south there is a greater chance of drier and brighter weather which will give an increased risk of fog forming overnight. By mid October, confidence in the forecast reduces, but more changeable weather is most probable, with spells of rain and strong winds moving across the country at times interspersed with drier, brighter and more settled interludes. The best of the brighter and drier weather is most likely in the southeast.
